Drawing Portfolio
Life drawing is one of the basic building blocks of most animators. It serves several functions. First and foremost, it builds drawing skills. You can't animate without knowing how to draw. (Even CG artists have to know how to draw a little). Being able to sketch out your character quickly really helps understand how the body looks doing different actions. Life drawing also helps to understand concepts needed in animation like: volume, folding, overlap, structure, gravity, texture, emotion, action...you get the idea.
